On Wednesday 9th May Ore Sorting Australia held an Open Day in conjunction with Tomra at their Sydney headquarters. The event was well attended by industry professionals from Australia and overseas and consisted of a technical presentation, practical demonstrations utilising the Tomra test facility units followed by lunch and the official handover of our new unit.
Delegates were asked to raise questions and these ultimately led to various discussions between all parties during the course of the day. The highlight for us was obviously the handover of our new COM 1200 XRT sorter and ancillary equipment; special thanks to Anthony Sacca of Tomra Australia and his team for assembling the unit for display purposes. Having the unit set up allowed people to fully inspect and understand the concept layout and obtain a much greater feel for the capabilities of this technology.
Many discussions were held with delegates in relation to the use of this technology moving forward with process plant design with the overall aim to reduce Capex and operational costs.
